Asthma and COPD

A registered respiratory therapist offers services that address the health of children and adults who are living with asthma and/or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in East Toronto.  Individuals and their families are able to access one-to-one and group care, education and support in a way that improves their capacity to self-manage their respiratory health concerns and promotes optimal health outcomes.

PCAP also provides support to primary care doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses in making clinical decisions around the assessment, diagnosis and management of asthma and COPD through the use of a range of resources and tools, including Spirometry. This inter-professional approach using consultation and collaboration with the PCAP Respiratory Therapist leads to better client outcomes for respiratory health.
